- But, also do follow your own interests. A good economics book to read is one that you find interesting.
- Personal statement – mainly about your academic studies. Need to show why you would be a good interesting candidate.
What is your philosophy interview question?
Sometimes, a job interviewer will ask you, “What is your philosophy towards work?”. What does this question mean? The interviewer wants to know what values drive your day to day work. This is a personal “mission statement”, not different from mission statements that companies have.

The philosophy of self defines the essential qualities that make one person distinct from all others. There have been numerous approaches to defining these qualities. The self is the idea of a unified being which is the source of consciousness.

How difficult is PPE?
PPE is also both fascinating and difficult because it needs essay-writing and quantitative ability. Moral philosophy or political theory are close to humanities and require facility with essays; formal logic or econometrics are quite mathematical. This can be an attraction, but is worth bearing in mind.
