Can I still buy Ektorp?

As of right now, the Ektorp sofa is only available in the Lofallet Beige color and that’s it. And the Lofallet Beige is the only slipcover you can purchase for the Ektorp.

Does uppland chair cover fit Ektorp?

Will the IKEA Uppland cover fit Ektorp? Because of the size difference of the couches, the slipcovers are different sizes too. You would not be able to fit an Ektorp slipcover on the Uppland sofa and a Uppland slipcover would be too large for the Ektorp sofa.

Although Ikea recommends only air drying an Ektorp couch cover, it can still be dried in a dryer if you use low heat settings. An Ektorp cover can be used over an Ikea Ektorp corner sofa. Although the cover is removable and machine washable, the care instructions advice not to tumble dry the cover.

I pulled the stuffing out of the cushion inserts and fluffed it up a bit. Then I took off the white cushion covers, unzipped the cushion inserts and pushed my stuffing in between the foam base and the feather topping. Zipped it back up and put the covers back on. And presto, new fluffy seat cushions.

Yes, sadly the Ektorp has been discontinued. It is slowly being fazed out. I believe you can only purchase it online right now, it has been out of stock at my local IKEA for a very long time. They do however have the Uppland in stock.

  1. Let the wash cycle run.
  2. Remove the body of the slipcovered sofa.
  3. Spot clean any stains.
  4. Once the washer is complete remove the cushion covers and place them in the dryer.
  5. Set the dryer to medium heat for 15 minutes.
  6. Grab the body covers and repeat the washing process just like you did for the cushion covers.
